Walk FM is seeking a full-time Director of Business Development (Underwriting Representative) for its Ashland Kentucky office and its broadcast communities.

Impact multiple local communities including Ashland, Huntington, Ironton, Charleston, Gallipolis, Parkersburg, Hurricane, Point Pleasant, and others with multi-state coverage throughout the Tri-State and Mid-Ohio valley in Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia!
This is a commission sales-oriented opportunity. As the Director of Business Development, Walk FM offers you the freedom to cultivate relationships to expand the Gospel through business clients, as you work to assist them in their marketing needs!
Position Overview:
The Director of Business Development partners with businesses, nonprofit organizations and churches to bring in financial support for PAR and give business partners the opportunity to invest in the ministry, coming along side us to share the gospel and point people to Jesus.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve sales and deposit goals:
- Identify, pursue, and secure new underwriting opportunities while expanding relationships with existing partners.
- Collaborate with GM and Listener Engagement Director to identify sponsorship opportunities and develop sponsorship proposals.
- Maintain a portfolio of underwriting clients, ensuring outstanding service and a positive experience with the station.
- Have regular visits with business partners to strengthen relationships and identify new partnership opportunities.
- Follow up with all leads and inquiries from business partners and prospective business partners in a timely manner.
Develop and implement cultivation and stewardship strategies that foster long-term, meaningful relationships with business partners:
- Invest in relationships with business partners by regularly showing appreciation and gratitude for their support.
- Provide updates about the ministry to show business partners the impact of their support.
- Invite business partners to events as appropriate.
- Develop business partner appreciation events/initiatives to bring businesses together and engage them more deeply in the ministry.
- Utilize CRM to manage or other client management system to manage business partner relationships
- Community Engagement
- Represent local station at events and within the broader community.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or underwriting (media/nonprofit experience a plus).
- Strong background in mentoring and team leadership with demonstrated ability to drive performance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a heart for ministry and alignment with Christian values.
- Ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to meet with current and potential partners in person.
Preferred Attributes:
- Media sales background
- Experience working in or with Christian organizations or nonprofits.
- Understanding of CRM and sales performance tools.
