Job Description
Walgre Transport Inc. is hiring an experienced Senior Diesel Mechanic / Diagnostic Technician for our Columbus, Ohio maintenance facility.
We operate a company-owned fleet of International LT, Freightliner Cascadia, and Volvo VNL tractors.
This is a senior-level position for a technician with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability. Diesel diagnostic experience is required.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, engine, and emissions issues
- Troubleshoot using diagnostic software, wiring diagrams, fault codes, and testing equipment
- Identify root causes before replacing components
- Repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, driveline, and electrical systems
- Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance
- Verify repairs before equipment returns to service
- Assist other technicians with difficult diagnostic issues
- Accurately complete work orders and maintenance records
Qualifications
- Strong diesel diagnostic and troubleshooting experience – REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience
- Class 8 truck repair experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of diesel engines, air brakes, suspension, and aftertreatment systems
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Valid driver’s license
CDL, DOT inspection certification, ASE certification, and fleet experience are preferred but not required.
