We are currently seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented purchasing team member with experience in supply chain management and inventory procurement. Job SummaryThe Purchasing Agent is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing inventory and services (freight) required by the company to meet customer demand and in support of overall business objectives. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the overall procurement strategy aligned with company goalsBy analyzing inventory levels, customer orders and forecasted demand, prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) and ensure proper approval workflowsReview and execute appropriate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and/or freight carriersTrack orders and ensure timely delivery of materialsResolve supplier issues, shortages, and discrepanciesMaintain accurate purchasing records and documentationPrepare reports on purchases, costs, and supplier performance to assist management in making business decisionsAnalyze market trends and pricing to achieve cost savingsCollaborate with warehouse, accounting, sales, and other departments as needed Required Skills & QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Finance, or a related field (preferred)High school diploma or equivalent with significant experience also considered Experience and Technical Skills:3–10 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or buyingExperience with ERP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) is highly desirableProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel – pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) Key Competencies:Analytical mindset with strong math and forecasting abilitiesExcellent communication (written and verbal) in the English languageAttention to detail and high accuracyAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesEthical judgment and integrityProblem-solving and decision-making skills This position is full-time, in office, Monday-Friday / 8am-5pm with a one-hour lunch break. Salary : $60,000 - $90,000
