Position Overview

The Director of Human Resources & Organizational Development will provide strategic leadership across Waldom’s HR and OD functions. This role will oversee HR operations (talent acquisition, performance management, benefits, compliance, employee relations) while also leading long-term initiatives that strengthen organizational culture, leadership pipelines, and workforce capabilities. The Director will be a key partner to senior leadership, driving strategies that align people, performance, and culture with Waldom’s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement integrated HR and OD strategies that support business growth and cultural priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on people strategy, organizational design, and workforce planning.

Talent Management

  • Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding programs to attract and retain high-performing talent.
  • Oversee performance management processes (e.g., Lattice) to ensure alignment with goals and accountability.
  • Drive succession planning and leadership development initiatives.

Culture & Engagement

  • Champion cultural initiatives (e.g., CultureWise) to build a positive, high-performance environment.
  • Implement programs to strengthen employee engagement, recognition, and retention.
  • Advance diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

Organizational Development

  • Design and deliver organizational development programs that enhance leadership effectiveness, collaboration, and change management.
  • Build workforce development pipelines through training, mentorship, and community partnerships.
  • Facilitate organizational assessments and interventions to support continuous improvement.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Partner with finance to ensure equitable, sustainable reward systems.
  • Clearly communicate program offerings to maximize employee understanding and engagement.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Advise leaders on employee relations, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
  • Maintain a fair, respectful, and legally compliant workplace.

HR Operations

  • Optimize HR processes, systems, and metrics for efficiency and scalability.
  • Provide HR analytics and reporting to inform decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR/OD certification preferred).
  • 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR or OD role.
  • Expertise in talent management, organizational development, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
