Resort Operations Manager – Evening Operations for Events, Lodging & Facilities Response

Waldenwoods is seeking a Resort Operations Manager to lead evening operations during peak guest hours. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for keeping the resort guest ready and event ready across lodging, weddings, events, and after-hours operations. The person in this role will also be the first on-site manager to assess guest-impact maintenance and facility issues, determine what requires immediate action, and coordinate the proper response.
The right candidate will be a trained hospitality professional who can lead calmly under pressure, coordinate across departments in real time, and confidently evaluate operational, guest-service, and basic facility problems as they arise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management required
- Resort, hotel, conference center, or event operations experience
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and guest-service instincts
- Ability to lead across departments during live operations
- Strong organization, follow-through, and written communication
- Practical ability to assess and triage facility, maintenance, and property issues
- Comfort with basic troubleshooting involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, sanitation, guest room issues, and delivery/vendor access problems
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and peak event periods
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead evening resort operations during peak hours (Wed-Sun 4pm-12am)
- Support smooth execution of weddings, events, and lodging arrivals
- Coordinate Rangers, Facilities, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Events staff
- Serve as first responder for guest-impact operational and facility issues
- Assess problems encountered by guests, staff, or delivery personnel and determine immediate next steps
- Handle minor issues directly when appropriate and escalate urgent repairs correctly
- Monitor readiness across venues, lodging areas, common spaces, and access points
- Complete nightly turnover reporting and next-day follow-up documentation
This role is ideal for someone who combines hospitality training, operational leadership, and practical facility awareness in a live resort environment.
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
