Job Summary
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for effective flow of received and finished goods from production to loading delivery vehicles, in keeping with customer specifications and service delivery standards. Ensure contents of each pallet and shipping box are correctly filled packaged, loaded and priority identified prior to leaving the facility. Serve as primary point of contact for shipping/receiving related activities.
Responsibilities:
The Shipper/Receiver will report directly to Production Manager and will be responsible for:
- Shipping: prepare and stage loads for shipment by completing shipping documentation, including manifests, packing slips, labels, customs paperwork, and bills of lading. Coordinate carrier pickups and shipping schedules. Load trailers according to customer requirements. Ensure shipments are secure and safe for transport. Maintain organized shipping areas and material flow.
- Receiving: Unload and inspect incoming materials and goods. Move and store inventory in designated locations. Verify shipments and identify discrepancies, damage, or shortages. Document and report receiving issues as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and accessible receiving area.
- Palletizing: Operate palletizing and wrapping equipment safely and efficiently. Build and stack pallets according to customer specifications. Secure products for safe handling and transportation. Apply required labels, documentation, and pallet identification. Stage completed pallets for shipment.
- Inventory: perform inventory counts and stock verification. Compare shipments and inventory records for accuracy. Investigate and report inventory discrepancies. Complete required material inspection procedures.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records. Distribute documentation to appropriate departments. Support rework and material handling activities as needed.
- Quality: ensure that products are produced consistently meeting or exceeding established criteria. This includes, following established procedures, quality control checks, and to satisfy customer expectations.
- Safety: Fulfill duties in a safe, responsible manner in keeping with plant safety guidelines, safe work practices, and applicable regulations. Wear required PPE and ensure it is appropriate to job at hand. Keep area tidy/free of hazards and ensure safe disposal of scrap and waste.
- Ability to effectively react to change and undertake other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Forklift certification
- Ability to use computer to complete BOL and maintain order files

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
