Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with food and beverage selections using knowledge of our offerings and specials.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through friendly recommendations.
- Manage table settings, clear dishes, bus tables, and assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments via POS systems including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Maintain guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations management.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to engage guests professionally.
- Culinary experience or food handling knowledge is preferred to better assist guests with menu details.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and order calculations accurately.
- Familiarity with sanitation standards, food safety protocols, and proper food preparation techniques.
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is advantageous; experience in bussing or supporting kitchen staff is a plus.
