What You’ll Be Doing:
As an RRT at WakeMed North, you’ll evaluate, treat, and manage adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients with respiratory illnesses and cardiopulmonary disorders across a variety of clinical settings. You’ll play a key role in improving patient outcomes by:
- Performing comprehensive respiratory assessments and diagnostic procedures
- Delivering all respiratory care treatments as ordered, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and airway management
- Evaluating treatment effectiveness and adjusting care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Educating patients and families to support understanding and continuity of care
- Responding to emergency situations and providing life‑saving respiratory support
- Documenting care in the electronic medical record with accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism
