REPORTS TO: Unit Executive Director
EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time
PAY: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The YDP/Van Driver serves a dual role supporting youth development and transportation services. This position is responsible for safely transporting youth members to and from school, the clubhouse, and Club-sponsored events, while also assisting in the supervision, organization, and implementation of after school and out-of-school programming. This role will not exceed 29.5 hours per week.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Transportation & Safety Duties:
- Safely operates 12-passenger vehicles in accordance with schedules and routes.
- Ensures safety of passengers and compliance with traffic laws and Club policies.
- Maintains order and proper discipline of youth.
- Conducts daily vehicle safety inspections and ensures vehicles are clean and stocked with safety equipment.
- Logs mileage, fuel usage, and passenger attendance.
- Reports incidents or mechanical issues promptly.
- Supervises groups of 10–20 youth.
- Facilitates age-appropriate academic, recreational, STEM, arts, and physical activities.
- Promotes positive behavior, teamwork, and emotional safety.

- Valid CT public passenger endorsement and valid license for a minimum of 3 years
- Clean driving record and background check
- Experience working with youth preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- CPR/AED/First Aid certified
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Light to moderate physical activity
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
