Middle School Science/Social Studies Teacher

Position: Middle School Science/Social Studies Teacher The Wakefield School District is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Middle School Science/Social Studies Teacher to inspire and engage students in grades 7–8. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for learning through innovative instruction in both scientific inquiry and social studies content. This educator will create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth academically, socially, and emotionally. EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in Education (K-8), Middle School Science, Middle School Social Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). • Valid state teaching certification in middle school education (science and/or social studies endorsement preferred). • Strong knowledge of middle school curriculum standards and best practices. • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills. • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching.
