Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain printing presses, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
- Set up jobs by selecting appropriate materials, inks, and settings based on job specifications.
- Monitor the printing process, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality control.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the prepress team to ensure designs are correctly prepared for printing.
- Perform quality checks throughout the production process to identify and resolve any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, including materials used and time taken for each job.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies while working in the production environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Press Operator or in a similar role within the printing industry.
- Strong knowledge of machining, CNC operations, and prepress processes.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and practices in print production.
- Basic understanding of graphic design principles, typography, color management, and print advertising.
- Experience with screen printing techniques is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
