As a Portfolio Administrator at Wakefield Asset Management Corporation, you will play a key role in supporting portfolio management and operational functions for client accounts. This position ensures the accurate implementation of investment strategies, timely processing of transactions, and high-quality service delivery to clients and advisors. You will collaborate closely with portfolio managers, traders, and client service teams to maintain the integrity of account data and investment activity.
- Maintain and reconcile client portfolios across multiple systems and custodians.
- Process account transactions including cash flows, trades, and corporate actions.
- Monitor portfolio activity to ensure alignment with investment guidelines and model strategies.
- Support portfolio managers with data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Assist in the preparation of client reports, billing, and compliance documentation.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding account status, transactions, and performance.
- Collaborate with operations, trading, and compliance teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in portfolio administration, investment operations, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of investment products, portfolio accounting, and financial markets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with portfolio management systems (e.g., Tamarac, Advent, or similar) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
