About You

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for leading the organization's financial reporting, consolidation, divisional accounting, and close processes while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting policies.


This role oversees the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements, divisional and wholesale financial results, management reporting, and balance sheet integrity. The position partners closely with operational and finance leaders across multiple business divisions to ensure accurate financial reporting and meaningful business insights.


The Financial Reporting Manager also serves as a key leader in the company's finance transformation initiatives, including the ongoing implementation for product divisions, inventory reporting and reconciliations while optimizing SAP S/4HANA and related reporting technologies. This individual will drive process standardization, automation, master data governance, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and support scalable growth.


Essential Functions

The essential job functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Financial Reporting & Consolidations

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting process.
  • Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Review and analyze financial results, account balances, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial reporting data.
  • Coordinate the preparation of management reporting packages and financial analysis.
  • Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting policies.

Month-End & Quarter-End Close

  • Lead and coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Ensure timely completion of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reviews.
  • Monitor close timelines and partner with accounting teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Review significant accounting estimates, accruals, and adjustments.

Audit & Compliance

  • Coordinate annual and interim audits with external auditors.
  • Prepare and review audit schedules, support documentation, and respond to auditor inquiries.
  • Research technical accounting matters and assist with implementation of new accounting standards.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Manage, mentor, and develop financial reporting staff.
  • Establish goals, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Promote accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration across the accounting organization.
  • Develop succession plans and identify growth opportunities for team members.

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and reporting processes.
  • Lead automation and system enhancement initiatives, including ERP implementations and upgrades supporting the finance transformation team.
  • Collaborate with AR, AP, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Operations, and Information Technology teams to improve reporting efficiency.
  • Support the development and maintenance of reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics.

Special Projects

  • Participate in strategic initiatives, acquisitions, system implementations, and other special projects.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting as requested by senior leadership.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification is required.
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Detail oriented accounting professional with minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • A self-starter who can follow through on commitments and projects with minimal oversight
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of accounting theory, financial systems (retail and wholesale), computerized systems and control procedures.


Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $130,000 annually. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Ability to work a varied, flexible schedule to meet business demands
  • Ability to monitor computer screens for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule as established by the division (4 days on-site, 1 day remote)
