Emergency Service Worker Statement
In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.

What You’ll Do as an Administrative Supervisor
- Lead and support a team with diverse responsibilities, providing coaching and guidance as needed
- Ensure full coverage of all service areas, even during staff absences
- Evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency
- Create and maintain clear process documentation, and train new team members
- Participate in leadership meetings and build strong partnerships with supervisors in FNS, Medicaid, Energy, and other program areas to stay aligned on process changes
- Develop work plans, assign tasks, and manage resources to meet operational goals
- Make timely, informed decisions that consider available information, constraints, and potential outcomes
- Monitor staff performance, offer constructive feedback, and provide technical supervision
- Communicate effectively and collaborate as a key member of a high-performing team
- Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers

Required
The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
- Associate's degree
- Two years of job-related experience
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted
- Please include ALL prior work experience on your application and resume.
- Supervisory experience within a human services agency or program
- Strong programmatic and technical knowledge of Health and Human Services and other Wake County Government departments
- Experience with revenue collection or other cash-handling duties
- Proficiency in NCFAST, OnBase, or similar case and document management systems
- Customer service experience in a social services or health services environment
- You’re confident in enforcing policies and procedures with consistency and fairness You can conduct audits and evaluate staff performance effectively
- You excel at training team members and managing staff schedules
- You bring strong leadership skills and can coordinate services across multiple providers and business systems
- You’re a skilled multitasker and proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
