What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Care Coordinator position at Wake Assisted Living Memory Care?
We are looking for a caring, compassionate, organized, detail orientated individual with previous experience as a Resident Care coordinator in memory care setting. Must be current on the NC CNA registry and have passed Med-Tech exam.
Qualifications/ Responsibilities:
Assisted living/Memory Care and Resident Care Coordinator experience, passing medications, scheduling, knowledgeable of NC licensure requirements.
The Resident Care Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of resident care, including follow up on medical care needs, reviewing and auditing resident records for compliance with state requirements. In addition, the Resident Care Coordinator oversees all areas of resident care and staffing requirements.
Work directly with the Administrator to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times.
Experience working with Residents with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders
Position Summary: Caregivers are the main support providers to our residents. Caregivers work hard every day to offer emotional support and help them maintain a high quality of life and assisting with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) such as assisting them with waking, toileting, feeding, safety, and participating in social activities. Caregivers report to the Resident Care Coordinator and are a part of the Resident Care Team.
Our residents count on us every day. We expect our caregivers to have regular attendance; defined as being on time and present to all scheduled shifts, for the entire shift. We expect all team members to be willing to lend a helping hand to co-workers and supervisors, whether it is one of their typical job responsibilities or not. This includes welcoming new team members and residents, and making them feel welcome. Associates need to keep the best interests of the residents and other associates in mind, and be an active participant in accomplishing team, community, and company goals.

- Passion for Seniors – Feels strongly about working with the senior population. Has a drive to go above and beyond for seniors. Typically this comes from a personal experience or prior work experience in a senior care setting.
- Ability to supervise caregivers (CNA/PCA) and be willing to be a team player.
- Time Management- Works with time frames efficiently to be productive and complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Leadership Skills- Ability to be strong and continue to set positive examples in stressful situations.
