You Will
- Set up and operate CNC machines and fiber and/or CO2 laser cutters to produce high-precision components.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files with confidence.
- Program and optimize toolpaths using G-code and CAD/CAM tools (Fusion 360, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam).
- Adjust cutting parameters by material type and thickness to ensure quality and minimize waste.
- Design and fabricate custom holding tools, jigs, and fixtures that reduce setup time and enhance throughput.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production to meet safety and performance standards.
- Support robotic programming/integration for automated material handling or secondary operations.
- Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges to meet dimensional and surface finish specs.
- Document machine settings, programs, and maintenance; contribute ideas to continuous improvement.
- Perform routine maintenance and uphold a safe, efficient work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical diploma or associate degree in machining, manufacturing, or mechatronics (preferred).
- At least 3 years of CNC and laser cutting machine operation and programming experience.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and G-code.
- Deep understanding of mechanical drawings, tolerances, and materials.
- Proven ability to design and build tooling and fixtures.
- Familiarity with FANUC, ABB, or KUKA robotic systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to thrive independently and with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Manufacturing floor environment with machinery, noise, exposure to natural elements, and metalworking processes.
- PPE is required at all times.
