Your core responsibilities
- Set up and operate Haas CNC lathes to produce precise parts from metric drawings.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD data; convert from metric to inch for programming and inspection.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs via G-code and CAD/CAM platforms (Fusion 360, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam).
- Adjust cutting parameters and offsets for material type and thickness to preserve quality and reduce waste.
- Inspect components with precision tools and confirm all dimensional and surface finish specs.
- Partner with engineering and production to ensure tooling meets safety and performance expectations.
- Keep thorough records of programs, machine settings, and maintenance; support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe workstation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of CNC lathe setup and operation experience.
- Proficiency with G-code and CAD/CAM (Fusion 360, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Mastercam).
- Strong understanding of prints, tolerances, and materials.
- Mandatory skill: convert metric to imperial confidently.
- Haas control familiarity is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Dedication to a clean and safe work area.
- Manufacturing floor environment with machinery, noise, and metalworking processes.
