What You'll Do
As a Human Resources Administrator, your day to day will include:
- Serve as a primary HR Operations contact for employees, managers, applicants, and visitors by responding to routine HR inquiries and providing guidance on established HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Deliver high-quality customer service while handling confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
- Support day-to-day HR operations and assist with the administration of employee lifecycle activities including hiring, onboarding, transfers, promotions, organizational changes, and separations.
- Coordinate HR communications and prepare correspondence, employment documentation, and standard HR forms.
- Maintain accurate employee records within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring timely processing of personnel transactions.
- Audit employee data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
- Generate routine HR reports, dashboards, and metrics to support operational decision-making.
- Maintain electronic and physical personnel files in accordance with company policy and applicable legal requirements.
- Coordinate hourly recruitment activities including:
- Job postings
- Applicant tracking
- Interview scheduling
- Background screenings
- Reference checks
- Drug testing
- Employment documentation
- Coordinate new hire onboarding activities including orientation scheduling, employment paperwork, system access, and onboarding documentation.
- Maintain applicant records and ensure compliance with applicable employment regulations.
- Administer assigned employee programs including recognition, attendance incentive, tuition reimbursement, and other HR initiatives.
- Coordinate employee recognition events, wellness activities, service awards, and company-sponsored events.
- Maintain accurate program records and process required approvals and documentation.
- Administer employee identification badges and facility access processes.
- Maintain badge system records, access permissions, holidays, schedules, and system updates.
- Coordinate badge inventory and related supplies.
- Maintain HR communication boards, digital displays, and employee information systems.
- Update HR forms, procedures, and administrative documentation as directed.
- Coordinate distribution of HR communications across the organization.
- Maintain department records and filing systems.
- Order departmental supplies and maintain inventory.
- Support audits and compliance reviews by preparing requested documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance HR operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of HR transactions throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Maintain integrity of employee information within HR systems and records.
- Deliver responsive, customer-focused HR operational support to employees and managers.
- Coordinate hourly recruiting and onboarding activities to ensure an effective candidate and new hire experience.
- Administer assigned HR programs accurately and consistently.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR administrative processes and operational efficiency.
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3 - 5 years of progressively responsible Human Resources Operations, HR Administration, or HR Coordinator experience.
- Working knowledge of Human Resources operations, policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and employee data management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and HR technology systems.
- Ability to analyze information, identify discrepancies, and resolve routine operational issues.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment while maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision while collaborating effectively across departments.
