Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques.
- Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and assisting chefs in meal assembly.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
- Follow safety standards during food handling, storage, and production to prevent contamination or accidents.
- Help with food service operations by setting up serving stations, replenishing supplies, and ensuring timely delivery of meals.
- Support menu planning efforts by organizing ingredients and assisting in the preparation of diverse dishes.
- Adhere to all food safety management practices, including proper storage, labeling, and sanitation procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable.
- Kitchen experience in restaurants or food industry settings provides a strong foundation for success.
- Familiarity with food handling safety standards and catering or meal preparation processes is advantageous.
- Skills in knife handling, slicing techniques, and general culinary practices are preferred.
