Responsibilities:
- Groom pets according to specific breed standards and customer preferences
- Bathe, brush, and trim pets' fur
- Clip nails and clean ears
- Assess pets' skin and coat condition and recommend appropriate treatments or products
- Provide basic grooming services such as teeth brushing and anal gland expression
- Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area
Skills:
- Experience in pet grooming
- Knowledge of different grooming techniques for various breeds of dogs, cats, and other animals
- Strong animal care skills
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing
- Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and understand their grooming preferences
