As a SASSE, you will be responsible for driving solution-oriented selling and strategic account growth by focusing on target accounts and providing technical solutions for our automation products and services. Your main objective will be to build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understand their specific needs, and coordinate engineering teams to propose customized automation solutions that meet their requirements. Responsibilities
- Automation Target Growth Lead:
- Identify and prioritize target accounts in strategic industries for automation solutions.
- Conduct market research and gather insights to understand the opportunities in target markets including Electrical Grid Technologies, Smart Building Technologies, and General Automation.
- Work closely with the sales team to create solutions strategies for penetrating and expanding within target accounts.
- Technical Solutions Development:
- Collaborate with customers to understand their automation needs and challenges thoroughly.
- Drive design of innovative and customized technical solutions based on customer requirements.
- Present technical proposals and product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of our automation solutions effectively.
- Sales and Business Development:
- Drive the full sales cycle from discovery to deal closure, achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Continuously expand the customer base through networking, referrals, and attending industry events.
- Maintain a deep understanding of WAGO automation product portfolio and industry trends.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with internal engineering and product development teams to ensure the feasibility and successful implementation of proposed automation solutions.
- Provide guidance and expertise to the sales team during customer engagements.

- Competitive Analysis:
- Keep abreast of competitor offerings and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
- Utilize competitive insights to position our automation solutions effectively.
- Proven experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or a related field, with a focus on automation products and solutions.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, IIoT, and related software with a focus on Electrical Grid, Smart Building, and General Automation markets and technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in cultivating target accounts and delivering technical sales presentations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and internal teams.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to identify customer pain points and propose effective solutions.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events (travel percentage will depend on company requirements).
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
