Heavy-Haul Truck Driver — Job Description
Position Summary
Wagner Ranch Services (WRS) operates a fleet including lowboy, side dump, belly dump, belly dump with pup, and dump trucks with and without pup trailers. Our lowboy typically hauls our own construction and crushing equipment. Other trucks haul gravel from our quarries to our retail yard and make deliveries to customers, and we also do some hauling for other companies.
We are hiring a Heavy-Haul Truck Driver who can operate across this fleet.
Reports To
Trucking Supervisor / Superintendent (as assigned)

Responsibilities
· Operate heavy-haul and aggregate hauling equipment, including: lowboy; side dump, belly dump, belly dump with pup; and dump trucks with and without pup trailers.
· Safely load, haul, and unload construction/crushing equipment and materials.
· Properly secure loads (chains, binders, blocking); perform safe tie-down and load checks.
· Conduct deliveries to customers and interact professionally on-site.
· Collect and accept payments for delivered materials when required (accuracy and professionalism are critical).
· Perform required pre-trip/post-trip inspections and keep equipment DOT-compliant.
· Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs/adjustments; assist mechanics with more involved work when needed.
· Navigate ports of entry and comply with permitting/weight/route requirements as applicable.
Qualifications
· Valid Class A CDL required.
· Doubles and tanker endorsements preferred, but not required.
· Physically able to chain down loads, handle blocking, climb in/out of equipment, and work long days when needed.
· Strong customer service and communication skills.
· Prior experience operating construction equipment preferred (helpful for loading/unloading equipment).
· Port of entry experience preferred.
· MSHA training is a plus.
· Willingness to maintain equipment to a high standard and follow DOT requirements.
Schedule
Typically Monday–Friday, approximately 40–50 hours/week. Some longer days and occasional weekend work may be required. Drivers must be flexible when needed.
Pay
Pay depends on experience and will be discussed after interview.
