We are looking for an experienced Equipment Operator who can operate a range of heavy equipment safely, produce high-quality finished results, and support the crew with whatever the job requires.

Core Expectations

· Safety first—operate equipment responsibly, manage jobsite hazards, and protect people, property, and equipment.

· Professional under pressure—calm, steady decision-making, and good judgment in stressful situations.

· Lead by example—help train and develop less experienced employees.

· Integrity—we run honest work, fair pricing, and we expect the same mindset from our team.

Responsibilities

· Safely operate and maintain control of a variety of heavy equipment, including (as qualified): excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers, graders, rollers/compactors, and other support equipment as assigned.

· Perform earthwork and site development tasks including rough grading, finish grading, trenching support, backfill, material placement, compaction, and site prep.

· Assist with underground utility and culvert work as needed (trenching support, bedding/backfill, safe working around utilities).

· Support concrete/asphalt prep activities (subgrade prep, base placement, fine grading, proof rolling assistance where applicable).

· Perform daily equipment care (pre-op inspections, greasing, fueling, minor field adjustments as trained) and promptly report mechanical issues.

· Work on the ground when required—spotting, running a wacker/plate compactor, shovel work, hand grading, jobsite cleanup.

· Maintain safe work zones and traffic awareness around equipment, trucks, pedestrians, and the public.

Qualifications

· Experience operating multiple types of construction equipment and producing quality finished results.

· Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required.

· CDL is a plus but not required (truck driving is not a primary duty).

· Physically able to climb in/out of equipment and perform manual labor as needed.

· Willing to work long days and be flexible when needed.

· Calm, professional demeanor; strong judgment and decision-making under pressure.

· Willing and able to teach/mentor others and lead by example.
