Position Summary
Wagner Ranch Services (WRS) is a civil site-work construction company performing a wide variety of work including road building, underground utilities, foundations, site grading, concrete and asphalt prep, septic systems, pond digging, culvert installation, streambank restoration, and reclamation. We are looking for an experienced Equipment Operator who can operate a range of heavy equipment safely, produce high-quality finished results, and support the crew with whatever the job requires.

Responsibilities
· Safely operate and maintain control of a variety of heavy equipment, including (as qualified): excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers, graders, rollers/compactors, and other support equipment as assigned.
· Perform earthwork and site development tasks including rough grading, finish grading, trenching support, backfill, material placement, compaction, and site prep.
· Assist with underground utility and culvert work as needed (trenching support, bedding/backfill, safe working around utilities).
· Support concrete/asphalt prep activities (subgrade prep, base placement, fine grading, proof rolling assistance where applicable).
· Perform daily equipment care (pre-op inspections, greasing, fueling, minor field adjustments as trained) and promptly report mechanical issues.
· Work on the ground when required—spotting, running a wacker/plate compactor, shovel work, hand grading, jobsite cleanup.
· Maintain safe work zones and traffic awareness around equipment, trucks, pedestrians, and the public.
Qualifications
· Experience operating multiple types of construction equipment and producing quality finished results.
· Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required.
· CDL is a plus but not required (truck driving is not a primary duty).
· Physically able to climb in/out of equipment and perform manual labor as needed.
· Willing to work long days and be flexible when needed.
· Calm, professional demeanor; strong judgment and decision-making under pressure.
· Willing and able to teach/mentor others and lead by example.
Schedule
Typically Monday–Friday, approximately 40–50 hours/week, with occasional longer days and weekend work when required. Must be flexible when needed.
Pay
Pay depends on experience and will be discussed after interview.

Pay: $24.00 - $33.00 per hour
