Wagner Pharmacy is seeking a part/full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician trainee for immediate employment!
The successful candidate will be key in providing outstanding and reliable service to our Clinton community patients. Dependability and attention to detail is of the utmost importance in this role. This position is essential to the operations of the pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the pharmacists in the processing of prescriptions
- Prepare medications for home delivery
- Verify incoming prescription information
- Accurately prepare patient prescriptions for dispensing
- Inventory management
Qualifications Include:
- High school diploma required
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification required within one year of employment.
- Must sit for first exam within first 6 months and receive certification status within 12 months.
- One to three years of previous pharmacy experience is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Accurate typing and computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Previous technician experience, and/or certification preferred; not required
- High school graduation or equivalent
Working Conditions Include:
- Physical requirements: Repetitive use of hands and fingers
- May require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 25 pounds)
- Ability to reach down to the floor and up to higher shelves to retrieve medications, and have the manual dexterity to handle small tablets and capsules, and to remove bottle caps.
- Walking and standing for long periods of time (4-8 hours) is often necessary
