Job Summary
We are looking for a dispatcher to join the team in our Fort Wayne, Indiana home office. The position involves booking incoming calls for service, scheduling and dispatching service technicians, dispatching calls through completion, reviewing and submitting timesheets weekly, and providing clear communication to all parties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Book incoming calls for service, schedule and dispatch for technicians
- Dispatch service calls through completion
- Maintain constant contact throughout the span of the service call
- Ensure that planned maintenance is scheduled and completed
- Receive and process paperwork or electronic data from the field (i.e. timesheets, service reports, etc.)
- Review timesheets weekly and send to payroll for processing
- Communicate clearly with customers, technicians, project managers, and other team members
- Assist other dispatchers as required
- Maintain technician picture badges and clearances when applicable
- Add, update, and maintain accurate information within the computer system (e.g. add and change customer site information as need)
Qualifications
- Self-motivated and eager to work within a team environment
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Customer service skills, especially over the phone
- Able to multi-task with accuracy in a fast-paced office environment
- Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office
- Accurate with numbers and data entry as well as proficient in written communications
- High school diploma or GED
Desired Experience
- One or more years of experience with a contractor preferred
- A college degree is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus
