Wagner Logistics, an award-winning Top 50 Third-Party Logistics provider specializing in distribution center management, warehousing, transportation, order fulfillment, and packaging, is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Edgerton, KS (66105).
This full-time role is scheduled Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a starting pay of $20.50 per hour.

The Inventory Control Specialist will report to the Customer Service Manager. You will be responsible for inventory accuracy and will assist Customer Service Representatives and Warehouse Personnel with inventory-related and WMS system issues. The Inventory Control Specialist will spend the majority of his/her time working in the warehouse operations areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Maintain an excellent working relationship with the customer by timely responding to all inquiries and complaints concerning receipts and inventory, in a courteous and efficient manner. Report customer feedback to management, including any cases of customer dissatisfaction.
Maintain a proficient knowledge of the warehouse management system. Maintain the product locator system in strict accordance with prescribed procedures. Ensure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories and routine cycle counts, reconciling with the inventory control system.
Maintain a complete understanding of customer service requirements related to inventory control.
Ensure product rotation is occurring as required by the customer.
Routinely inspect the inventory for damage or shrinkage and report results to management.
Periodically verify that inbound product is received accurately from the customer’s receiving line and/or from inbound vendors and as directed by Wagner management.
Periodically verify that outbound freight is staged according to the customer’s quality assurance requirements and as directed by Wagner management.
Remain vigilant and report any potential safety hazards, such as product shifting that could result in personal injury from falling products.
Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by monitoring security procedures. Report any suspicious activity or security breach to management.
Able to work at heights up to 50 feet.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:

Education (preferred level): High school diploma or equivalent
Experience (preferred level in a similar position): One year
Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
Must be able to read, write, and speak English, count accurately, perform simple math, and write legibly.
Forklift certified or possesses the ability to complete a forklift training course.
General personal computer skills, including the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programs.
Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking on concrete floors for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds on occasion, to inspect products.
The ability to follow directions is extremely important, as well as deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Must be well organized and able to multitask, comprehend written policies and procedures, as well as follow oral instructions.
