Position Overview
We are seeking a Field Technician who brings initiative, discipline, and the ability to work independently across diverse customer environments. This role supports commissioning, service, maintenance, and small installation tasks for our ASD and ORS systems in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning WAGNER´s active fire prevention systems OxyReduct® (ORS).
- Supporting the installation and commissioning of WAGNER´s Aspirating Smoke Detectors (ASD) with our customers.
- Conduct demand service calls, planned maintenance, and minor installations.
- Deliver customer training on ASD and ORS installation and maintenance.
- Accurately complete site documentation and submit service reports promptly.
- Ensure full compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) requirements; report incidents and near misses.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for service and maintenance visits.
- Maintain consistent engineering quality and adherence to established procedures.
- Communicate professionally with customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Support the sales organization when required.
- Use slower work periods for structured selfdevelopment and technical learning.
- Promote and represent our U.S. subsidiary in Buffalo Grove, IL.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in fire alarm systems and electrical engineering.
- Mechanical engineering experience is beneficial.
- Knowledge of ASD Technology highly preferred.
- Proven capability in a fastpaced field service environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to wear SCBA equipment; SCBA experience preferred.
- NICET certification preferred.
