Puppy Specialist

At Waggles Puppy Boutique- Duluth, we believe bringing home a puppy is one of life's biggest decisions. Our mission is to educate families, provide exceptional puppy care, and help each customer find the perfect companion. We are looking for energetic, compassionate, and sales-driven Puppy Specialists who love working with both people and puppies.

This is much more than a retail job. You'll educate families, care for puppies, and create unforgettable experiences while helping puppies find loving homes. Similar puppy boutique roles emphasize customer education, sales, puppy care, and maintaining a clean, pawsitive welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every customer with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Learn about each family's lifestyle and recommend the best puppy for them.
• Educate customers on breeds, temperament, training, nutrition, health, and puppy ownership.
• Build relationships that lead to confident purchasing decisions.
• Follow up with prospective customers by phone, text, and email.
• Meet individual and team sales goals.
• Assist customers with financing options.
• Handle paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and beautiful boutique.
• Feed, socialize, exercise, and monitor puppies throughout the day.
• Keep puppy suites sanitized and stocked.
• Restock food, toys, treats, and accessories.
• Answer customer questions in person, over the phone, and online.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Support teammates and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Outstanding people skills.
• Sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Passion for dogs and animal welfare.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Computer and POS experience is a plus.
