Puppy Placement Specialist / Key Holder
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our puppies find loving and suitable homes while providing an exceptional customer experience. Your duties will encompass a variety of tasks, including but not limited to customer interactions, cash handling; and maintaining a clean healthy environment for our puppies, customers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Puppy Placement
a. Match puppies with suitable and loving adoptive families.
b. Facilitate the adoption process, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
c. Offer payment options to customers and process transactions promptly.
2. Animal Husbandry:
a. Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of puppy kennels.
b. Perform daily shift operations related to animal care and hygiene.
c. Conduct mini grooming sessions and training sessions with the puppies.
d. Upon specific training and approval, administer medication when necessary and follow isolation procedures as required.
3. Customer Experience:
a. Create an unforgettable customer experience by providing knowledgeable and friendly assistance.
b. Educate customers on various dog breeds, pet store facts, and responsible pet ownership.
4. Sales and Transactions:
a. Handle cash transactions and use of a cash register with accuracy and efficiency.
5. Inventory
a. Maintain an organized inventory of pet supplies and store-use items.
b. Monitor stock levels and communicate inventory needs to management.
6. Communication
a. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests with efficiency.
Salary:
The hourly wage is $12.00/hr or 6% commission, whichever one is higher that is what you take home at the end of the pay period (2 weeks). After 60 days on the job if you are proficient the commission can be bumped up to 7%.
Physical Demands:
To perform this job, employees may occasionally life to 50 pounds. Regular requirements
Include standing, walking, using hands, reaching, talking, and hearing. Occasional activities involve climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and/or smelling. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
