Job Type: Part Time Commission Based Work

Responsibilities:

Welcome to Wagging Tails Pet Shop. We are a local family owned pet store located in Cromwell and Colchester Connecticut. We are looking to add grooming to our CROMWELL location to accommodate our customers request for full service grooming. We are looking for an experience self motivated groomer to add to our team! Willingness to take on extra days in busy salon in Colchester (salon is about 30 minutes from Cromwell store) is a bonus!

The Groomer will be responsible for providing high-quality groom services to our dogs. This position requires a Groomer with strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently or as a team with the goal of providing top-notch groom services. The Groomer is responsible for grooming all breeds of dogs including but not limited to German Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, American Bulldogs, Bulldogs, Rottweilers, Pitbulls, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, and any other breeds determined by management to be inappropriate for adoption. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to groom dogs in various weather conditions. The position requires the ability to groom dogs in all seasons and with different types of coats. The ability to groom dogs quickly and efficiently while maintaining high quality is critical. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as a team with minimal supervision. Qualifications:
·High School Diploma or equivalent experience working in pet care field. A degree in animal behavior or related field is preferred.
·Ability to work independently without supervision is required. A willingness to learn about our business is preferred.
·A strong commitment to customer service and excellent communication skills are necessary. A willingness to learn from mistakes is also required along with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A commitment to maintaining a clean environment in all areas of the business is also required.
·A valid driver's license is required with flexible travel arrangements made on a case-by-case basis by management.
