What are the responsibilities and job description for the Content & Growth Marketing Specialist position at WagePath?
About WagePath
WagePath is a B2B SaaS platform that solves one of the hardest problems in construction payroll: prevailing wage, certified payroll, and Davis-Bacon compliance. We sit between the workforce management systems contractors already use and the dozens of federal, state, and city portals where compliance has to land — accurately, on time, every week.
The Role
We're looking for someone who loves to tell stories and has a distribution mindset — someone who can take genuinely complex subject matter and turn it into content that actually engages our audience across every medium.
Prevailing wage and certified payroll is a topic contractors, payroll professionals, partners, and consultants are ACTIVELY searching for answers on. This is a real and tested content opportunity, which is why we're scaling here first. You'll own the content and social calendar, produce across formats, and support building the marketing function from the ground up. You'll have our designers for creative support and tools like Riverside for video — your job is to drive the ideas, own the calendar, and get great content out the door consistently.
What You'll Do
Content Production & Storytelling
- Own the WagePath content calendar — planning, producing, and distributing content across our website, email, social, and other channels
- Ideate and craft compelling educational content across all mediums: written guides, Sales collateral, video interviews, social clips, email sequences, webinars, and more
- Create and structure content to rank in traditional search and position us to be cited in AI results — we know there's still a lot to learn here and we hope you're just as excited about that opportunity
- Ensure all content reflects WagePath's voice: credible, practical, and informative
Campaign Management
- Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel content campaigns targeting both our partner ICP (payroll platforms, HCM resellers) and direct client ICP (construction, landscaping, and trades contractors)
- Build and manage partner campaigns in close collaboration with the founding team — co-branded content, Sales assets, joint webinars, email campaigns, and enablement materials that help our partners tell the WagePath story to their clients
- Own campaigns end-to-end: audience targeting, messaging, creative coordination, and landing pages
- Build and manage email nurture flows for partner and direct audiences
Event & Webinar Support
- Produce and execute webinar and video interview content end-to-end: topic selection, speaker coordination, recording, promotion, follow-up, and repurposing clips for social
- Support event marketing across WagePath's 2026 calendar
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years of B2B marketing experience in SaaS or HR tech — with experience spanning campaigns, content, and/or events
- Strong writing skills — you can translate technical subject matter into content that earns trust and drives action
- Experience owning campaigns from brief to complete — you don't wait to be handed a plan
- Familiarity with tools like Claude, HubSpot, Riverside
- Interest in building AI skills and systems into your process
- Comfort working on a small team where you own outcomes
Bonus Points
- Experience marketing to payroll, HCM, HR tech, or Construction Tech audiences
- Familiarity with the construction, trades, or field services industry
- Hands-on experience with SEO and AEO — writing content structured to be cited
- Prior early-stage or growth startup experience
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Can-do attitude
Why WagePath
- Remote
- Direct impact — your work moves the needle
- A market that is genuinely underserved on education: content has serious pull here
- A founder with 30 years of credibility in the industry we’re marketing to
- Real ownership and the chance to shape the marketing function as WagePath scales
The offer
Salary is negotiable based on experience but expected to be between $60k - $85k. We have real product-market fit signals, and a clear runway ahead. You'll work directly with the founding team and have meaningful input on how we build the Growth function from the ground up.
Salary : $60,000 - $85,000
