Account Executive – Retail & Strategic Accounts
Role Summary
Wagan is rebuilding its sales engine following a strategic transition period. We are seeking a high-ownership Account Executive to:
- Reactivate dormant retail accounts
- Win new mid-tier and national retail accounts
- Drive outbound business development
- Convert trade show and inbound leads into revenue
- Expand private label / OEM opportunities
Core Responsibilities
Account Reactivation
- Identify and contact 50 dormant customers within first 90 days
- Reintroduce new product lines
- Rebuild buying relationships
- Recover lost shelf space
New Business Development
- Prospect regional and national retail chains
- Cold outreach to buyers and category managers
- Develop pipeline for Home Depot, AutoZone, Ace, etc.
- Identify private label opportunities
Trade Show & Field Execution
- Attend key trade shows (AAPEX, hardware shows, etc.)
- Own post-show lead follow-up cadence
- Travel for key buyer meetings
Pipeline Ownership
- Maintain CRM discipline
- Track deal stages
- Forecast monthly revenue
- Report weekly on pipeline movement
Profile We Want
- 5–10 years B2B retail sales in Automotive aftermarket Industry
- Experience selling into retail buyers
- Comfortable with outbound outreach
- Not afraid of cold calling
- High accountability
- Process-oriented
- Understands margin, not just revenue
