What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker (Temp) position at Waffle House?
As a Warehouse Associate (Temp), you are responsible for handling shipments and accurately stocking and organizing items. In this role, you will ensure orders are received and shipped correctly, load and unload trucks, and operate a forklift and pallet jack. LaVista Equipment Supply (LES) is a subsidiary of Waffle House, Inc. and is housed adjacent to our Corporate Office.
The Warehouse Associate (Temp) is a Support Team role based out of our LaVista Equipment Supply Warehouse in Norcross, GA in the metro Atlanta area. Our Corporate Office Support Team consists of 300 Associates who are committed to supporting our Operations Team as they proudly serve and create memorable experiences for our Customers. What you'll do:
- Accurately pick, pack, label, and ship LES Customer Service orders.
- Accurately mark order picks for items shipped or out of stock items.
- Accurately enter orders into LES shipping system.
- Check other order picker’s orders for accuracy, as directed.
- Assist with receiving and restocking.
- Assist with LES stock inventories weekly and monthly, as directed.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
- Be Safety focused in performing job duties.
What we're looking for:
- Someone with previous warehouse experience.
- Previous forklift experience.
- Entry/basic level computer or data entry skills.
- Capacity to lift over 50 pounds.
Experience/Educational Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience (strongly preferred).
- High School or GED preferred.
