Primary Purpose:
Direct and coordinate the administration of the statewide and national testing programs.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree in education related field
Master’s Degree, preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with statewide testing program rules and regulations
Knowledge of TEA rules, regulations, and district policies concerning the TEKS and state assessments
Skills in planning, coordinating, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive assessment program at the high school campus
A strong knowledge base of test data disaggregation
Strong computer skills and ability to work with databases
Ability to plan and conduct effective staff development opportunities
Ability to work with statistical analysis
Experience
Minimum Experience
Three years of teaching experience
Two years of campus leadership experience preferred
Experience coordinating campus testing preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Coordinate and direct the statewide testing program for the campus (STAAR, STAAR Alt 2, TELPAS, Renaissance 360, Interim STAAR Assessments, PSAT, Advanced Placement).
2. Coordinate campus testing program evaluation process.
3. Provide disaggregated "state-assessment" data school-wide, identifying non-mastery students for necessary re-teaching and re-testing.
4. Develop and monitor the campus's comprehensive assessment plan in conjunction with appropriate district personnel.
5. Coordinate the ordering, distribution, record keeping, and collection of all state and district assessments.
6. Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents as required by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
7. Provide training including test security and support for personnel, which may include principals, teachers, and instructional aides in conjunction with the District Testing Coordinator.
8. Recommend budget and cost estimates for appropriate programs.
9. Disseminate information and stay abreast of changes in the field of state test and assessment plan.
10. Maintain testing records for current and newly transferred students to the district.
11. Coordinate with Special Programs (i.e. Special Education, EL, etc.) to ensure student accommodations are appropriate.
12. Maintain confidentiality of student records.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
