Warehouse Picker - Night Shift

Job description

• Must be able to read and understand and expedite all shipping instructions.
• Must have through knowledge of the many SKU’s that Waco Shoe Company produces.
• Examines orders for pertinent information to determine any inaccuracies of customer orders.
• Notifies order services of any changes that need to be made.
• Keys accurate information into the computer for EDI transmissions.
• Identify/recognize potential departmental problem and takes action.
• Knowledge of current Waco Shoe Company shipping procedures as well as restrictions and procedures of freight and export carriers.
• Must be able to proficiently use the current Waco Shoe Company software.

• Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing 40-60 lbs.
• Constant standing, bending and twisting.
• Ability to set priorities and intelligently use independent judgement in demanding situations, remain flexible, while working effectively in stressful situations.
• Must be proficient in the use of the personal computers, printers and associated software to perform work functions related to the Shipping Department.
• Anticipate /identify problems and initiate actions.
• Must be well organized.
• Must abide by all safety rules and regulations set forth by Waco Shoe Company.
• Must always know and follow procedures.
• Must be able to make sound decisions.
• EQUIPMENT
• Personal computer and CRT, Zebra, Eltron, and label printers.
• Copiers
• Strap machine, pallet jack, pallet wrap (manual), tape machine.
• Forklift, Scissor lift, Order Picker and Stock Chaser. CRITICAL

SKILLS\EXPERTISE

• Effectively utilize personal computer. · Work well under stress created by short lead times on some orders. · Have ability to exercise sound judgement, set priorities, and work independently on routine departmental matters. · Work overtime as needed. · Assist with physical inventory. · Assist Shipping Support when workload requires. · Assist in the UPS area when workload requires. Assist in the repack/rework area when needed

Hours 4:30pm - 1:30am Sunday - Thursday
