Dance & Drill Coach - Wachter Middle School

Bismarck Public Schools is accepting applications for a Dance and Drill Coach at Wachter Middle School.

Position Summary

The Head Dance & Drill Coach is responsible for leading the Wachter Middle School Dance & Drill Team by developing students' dance skills, teamwork, leadership, and school spirit in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct practices and performances.
• Teach dance technique and choreograph age-appropriate routines.
• Supervise students during all team activities.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and leadership.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and administration.
• Maintain uniforms, equipment, and team records.
• Follow all Bismarck Public Schools and NDHSAA policies and procedures.
• Complete assigned duties as directed by the principal or activities director.

Qualifications

• Dance, drill, or coaching experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with middle school students.
• Completion of required district coaching certifications and background check.

Reports To

Middle School Athletic Director

Please note - Coaches who hold a ND teaching license - wages are reportable to the North Dakota Teacher's Fund for Retirement (TFFR).  The employee (coach) will contribute 11.75% of their salary and the District will contribute 12.75%.

Salary : $3,599 - $4,859
