The Professional Services Junior Engineer is responsible for performing wireless site surveys and installation of wireless equipment at customer facilities in locations throughout the country. Travel by car and/or airplane will be required and encompass 50-75% of your time. Prior experience with Wireless Network technologies not required but desired. This is an entry-level role with potential to grow within the team as skills and knowledge are acquired.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct interaction with customers on a daily basis
• Traveling to customer sites (ability to travel 50%-75% local and nationwide, both by car and airplane)
• Make necessary travel arrangements and changes as required
• Conducting wireless site surveys and completing site analysis
• Manage time and schedule during onsite activities
• Keep project management personnel informed of progress and potential issues, during and after onsite activities
• Authoring site survey reports, and other required documents
• Maintain supplied network test equipment; ensuring working order to complete engagements as assigned
• Ability to understand diverse wireless network platforms
• Ability to understand customer business requirements and tailor a wireless solution to meet their needs
• Working knowledge of enterprise-class networking equipment and products, including Cisco routers, switches, access points, and wireless controller hardware
• Proficient skills working with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain meaningful professional relationships
• Polished business communications skills, both oral and written
• Outgoing and friendly personality with a customer-focused attitude
• Strong attention to detail, initiative, and sense of urgency
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• A good methodical approach to tasks, ability, and interest to learn new technologies
• Self-motivated, able to meet deadlines and maintain quality of work under pressure
• Comfortable working at heights up to 40 ft
• Handy, familiarity with hand tools
• Will be required to continue to learn new networking technologies and solutions
