What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Field Manager position at Wachter, Inc.?
- Experience: Background running multiple low-voltage projects simultaneously (CCTV, access control, network racks, cabling).
- Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of commercial (retail, warehouse, etc.) work environments.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings, bid specs, and construction take-offs.
- Tech Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook) with a typing speed of at least 40 WPM for reporting.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, strong time management, and excellent attention to detail.
- Education: College education is preferred, but equivalent field experience is highly valued.
- Oversight: Monitor and assist in installation progress against project timelines and verify physical installation quality.
- Leadership: Provide hands-on training and development for field employees.
- Client Relations: Conduct project kick-offs, walk through project scopes, and build trust with onsite client contacts.
- Reporting: Document onsite findings and progress, translating field data into clear updates for Project Managers.
- Safety: Strictly promote and enforce Wachter’s zero-tolerance safety culture and complete daily toolbox talks.
- Flexibility: Remain available to handle emergency maintenance tickets and perform basic project management tasks as needed.
