Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic General Laborer-House Builder to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting residential building projects from foundation to finishing touches. Your hands-on skills, attention to detail, and enthusiasm will help bring quality homes to life.
Responsibilities
- Assist with various phases of house construction, including framing, roofing, drywall installation, and finishing work.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on-site.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support project execution.
- Support installation of plumbing, electrical systems, cabinetry, flooring, tile work, stucco, and other finishing elements.
- Prepare surfaces through sanding, caulking, plastering, concrete finishing, or masonry work as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols and building codes.
- Clearing land, removing debris, and cleaning up work areas to maintain safety.
- Loading, unloading, and transporting building materials (lumber, drywall, bricks) to specific areas on the site.
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in residential building environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics is a plus but not required.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, or heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
- Knowledge of construction disciplines such as carpentry (frame carpentry, trim carpentry), roofing, masonry, or restoration enhances your fit for this role.
- Basic understanding of construction management principles including estimating and inspection processes is beneficial.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a proactive approach on the job site.
