Position Summary
The Treatment Nurse is responsible for performing wound and skin treatments, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting the nursing team in providing high-quality care. This position is ideal for an LPN or RN who enjoys focused clinical work and values teamwork and resident-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Complete all wound and skin treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
- Monitor and document wound progress, including staging, measurements, and interventions
- Communicate changes in condition to the charge nurse, DON, and provider as appropriate
- Maintain wound logs and ensure timely, accurate documentation in the medical record
- Participate in weekly skin rounds and collaborate with the wound physician and interdisciplinary team
- Assist with other nursing duties as assigned to support overall resident care
Qualifications
- Current Minnesota LPN or RN license in good standing
- Wound care or treatment experience preferred (training available)
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
