What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wabasha County Election Assistant position at Wabasha County?
Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D.; or foreign education equivalent to US High School Diploma or experience equivalent to six (6) months of experience in a customer-focused position. Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position.
Required License (s):
Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have:
Valid Driver’s License and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years.
Required Special Qualifications:
- Obtain Election Judge Certification in Minnesota within two (2) weeks of employment.
- State Voter Registration System Training within one (1) month of employment.
- Must be a US citizen or US National and pass required background check.
- Must be able to work evening and weekend hours (limited).
- Preferred to be available to work during all of the following election periods:
- June 22 – August 21, 2026
- September 14 – November 27, 2026
