Position Summary

- Manage daily bank deposits and obtain store change as needed.
Team Leadership and People Management
- Train, mentor, and support team members to ensure they remain actively engaged in work-related tasks.
- Ensure team members receive appropriate onboarding, ongoing training, and opportunities for growth and retraining.
- Provide clear direction and set expectations for task completion and workplace behavior.
- Handle team member disputes promptly and document incidents appropriately in personnel files.
- Conduct and document employee disciplines and coaching sessions, maintaining confidentiality and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Prepare and post employee work schedules; manage shift changes and team member availability and ensure timely submissions to HQ.
- Support new hires to reduce turnover and create a sense of belonging and value within the team.
- Monitor staffing levels and adjust coverage as needed; fill in when necessary to maintain operations.
- Submit team member leave requests, call-ins, and shift switch notifications through the proper channels.
- May receive calls during non-working hours for support; must document and submit off-the-clock work time to HR.
- Foster a culture of workplace safety and accountability.
- Ensure all cash-handling procedures are followed by staff and documented correctly.
- Conduct random cash audits to monitor errors or misconduct.
Store Operations and Oversight
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales, production, and operational goals.
- Ensure store cleanliness, merchandising, and presentation follow the Clean, Full, and Pulled standards.
- Maintain store organization, layout, and adherence to visual merchandising guidelines and price lines.
- Assist with store opening/closing procedures, stocking, sorting, and pricing merchandise as needed.
- Monitor the building and equipment for safety and maintenance issues, report and issue work orders promptly.
- Understand and utilize store playbooks and operational policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support WVG retail operations and team success.
Candidate requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, or the desire to obtain a High School Diploma through the Excel Center of West Central Indiana. One to three months related retail experience and/or training preferred but not required. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Must have basic computer skills.
