Position Overview
The Wabash College Financial Aid Office administers approximately $40 million in federal, state, and institutional aid and provides financial assistance to approximately 850 current and 1,000 prospective students annually. We are committed to helping families feel comfortable with navigating their way through the financial aid application process. Additionally, we help them understand their financial aid award and the financing options available to them. As such, we strive to make our office approachable, friendly and our interactions with parents and students positive in all situations. Providing excellent customer service is always our goal.

Primary Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative and operational support for the Financial Aid Office
- Communications management
- Merge & disseminate financial aid offer/revision notifications
- Send individual mailings as needed by email and/or by postal service
- Answer office phone & provide customer service
- Assist families with understanding financial aid
- Communicate payment and financing options to students and parents
- Credit Card reconciliation for all financial aid staff members
- Purchase office supplies & business cards for Enrollment division (Admissions & Financial Aid)
- Update publications and forms as needed
- Create fillable pdf's of all verification documents
- Coordinate with IT annual updates to document names in ImageNow
- Coordinate with IT to update history sheets annually
- Manage flow of application process
- Merge, collate, and mail Missing Information Letters
- Receipt all documentation submitted; scan and file to ImageNow as received
- Follow-up with students/parents regarding insufficient/incomplete/missing documents
- Generate history sheets as student packages are completed
- Track daily receipt of ISIRs
- Process outside scholarship checks
- Maintain & distribute monthly financial aid task calendars
- Request & collect documents from OCS students
- Manage association memberships
- Assist in various tasks to support the entire enrollment process
- Perform other duties
- High School education or equivalent
- High level of confidentiality
- Computer aptitude and experience with word processing, spreadsheet and database software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Detail oriented with excellent organization skills
- Self-motivated and excellent people skills
- Adaptable to a constantly changing environment
- Ability to adhere to federal, state and institutional policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
