Industrial Cleaner- Curing

Position Summary

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our Curing PM Crew. This is a hands-on industrial cleaning and preventive maintenance position performed inside an active manufacturing facility.

This is a hot, dirty, greasy, and physically demanding job.

We want applicants to have a realistic understanding of the position before applying. The Curing area can become very hot, and much of the work is performed around industrial machinery, hot pipes, and equipment. Employees may need to climb, bend, crouch, reach, and maneuver through tight spaces to access areas that need to be cleaned.

You should expect to get dirty and greasy during your shift. Some areas have significant grease buildup, and cleaning around machinery can involve working in uncomfortable or confined spaces.

If you are not comfortable working in heat, grease, dirt, tight spaces, or around hot industrial equipment, this position may not be a good fit.

What You'll Be Doing

Typical duties include:

• Cleaning around and underneath industrial machinery
• Scraping and removing grease buildup from machines and floors
• Emptying and cleaning grease and water buckets
• Emptying trash and removing debris from work areas
• Wiping down control panels and equipment surfaces
• Sweeping and cleaning floors around machinery
• Climbing and maneuvering around equipment and piping to reach work areas
• Working in tight or difficult-to-access spaces
• Completing assigned preventive maintenance cleaning tasks
• Following all plant and company safety procedures

Working Conditions

This position requires employees to be comfortable with:

• High temperatures and hot working conditions
• Grease, dirt, grime, and industrial debris
• Working near hot pipes and industrial equipment
• Tight spaces and awkward working positions
• Frequent bending, crouching, reaching, climbing, and standing
• Being on your feet for most of the shift
• Wearing required PPE while working in hot conditions
• Performing repetitive physical cleaning tasks

This is not a climate-controlled or light-duty cleaning position. Employees should come to work prepared to perform physical industrial cleaning and to leave the shift dirty.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

• This position is performed in a hot industrial environment and is not climate-controlled. Are you comfortable working in high temperatures for extended periods while wearing required PPE?
• This is a dirty industrial cleaning position. You will regularly come into contact with grease, grime, dirt, and industrial debris and should expect your clothes and PPE to become dirty during your shift. Are you comfortable with these conditions?
• Some work requires bending, crouching, climbing, reaching, and maneuvering through tight spaces around industrial machinery and piping. Are you comfortable performing this type of work throughout your shift?
• You may be required to work near hot machinery and hot pipes while completing cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks. Are you comfortable working in this type of industrial environment while following required safety procedures?
• Are you able to perform physically demanding work that involves prolonged standing/walking, frequent bending and crouching, climbing, and repetitive cleaning tasks?
