Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates.
- Communicate with partners, staff, and clients to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintain professional standards and technical knowledge through workshops, seminars, publications, personal networks, and/or professional societies.
- Remain current on general economic and political trends and possible tax or other legislation impacting the business climate.
- Contribute to the overall success of the firm and staff by promoting efficient execution throughout the engagement while cultivating positive client relationships.
- Research issues and respond to client and staff questions in a simple, understandable fashion.
- Manage multiple client requests in an efficient and timely manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- CPA designation with a minimum of five years of public accounting experience in tax and small business accounting.
- Strong knowledge of current professional tax practices.
- Strong tax preparation and tax return review experience.
- Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates.
- Experience with small business accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with an orientation toward detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients and staff.
- Ability to take ownership of assigned work and use initiative to complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and during busy season.
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong technology skills that contribute to the completion of assignments.
- Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
