Minimum Requirements (Must-Have)
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 5 years of experience in civil engineering focused on land development/site design
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Direct experience with stormwater design, drainage, and permitting
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of land development projects from concept through construction
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships and expectations
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables with minimal oversight
- Coordinate with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
- Prepare and review site development plans, grading plans, and construction documents
- Design stormwater systems, utilities, and infrastructure layouts
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and permitting requirements
- Perform engineering analysis and prepare technical reports
- Provide stormwater consulting, including drainage design and system analysis
- Develop stormwater master plans and perform hydrology & hydraulics (H&H) modeling, including FEMA/floodplain analysis
- Design above-ground and underground detention systems and implement runoff reduction strategies
- Ensure compliance with water quality standards and applicable regulations
- Prepare and manage land disturbance permit applications
This role is best suited for a self-directed engineer who can:
- Independently manage multiple active projects
- Deliver high-quality construction documents with minimal oversight
- Confidently interact with clients and regulatory agencies
- Take ownership of project outcomes from start to finish
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required)
- Active PE license required, with ability to obtain licensure in additional states
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in land development and site design
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proven experience with permitting, stormwater management, and drainage design
- Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills

Salary : $95,000 - $130,000
