The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for a team of 3 precast / prestressed concrete technicians. This qualified individual must apply leadership, knowledge, experience and sound judgment to ensure that the precast concrete products being fabricated are to the contract / shop drawings requirements and that all components are manufactured to the highest industry standards.

This qualified individual must apply leadership, knowledge, experience and sound judgment to ensure that the precast concrete products being fabricated are to the contract / shop drawings requirements and that all components are manufactured to the highest industry standards.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Work closely with the plant and management team to maintain and improve upon the quality control process and procedures.
- Responsible for the supervision and training of the quality control technicians such that all safety policies, environmental matters and quality control issues are followed.
- Must have the knowledge and experience in designing, implementing trial batches, qualifying, and submitting all in-house concrete mix designs for approval to an outside agency.
- Must have the knowledge and experience in compiling the necessary quality control documentations for submission and approval to an outside agency.
- Ensure that the various quality control documentations are current and maintained on file.
- Ensure that the calibration of all quality control equipment are current and maintained on file.
- Implement as needed quality control training programs to key personnel in conjunction with the management team.
- Prepare and be the point of contact at the plant for PCI, Caltrans, NDOT and other agencies during their inspection and audits.
- Ability to clearly communicate all nonconformance / out of tolerance conditions and products to the management team and all other relevant parties.
- Protect the company's best interest. Take ownership of customer concerns and discontent with regards to quality control issues through proper documentation, investigations, and implementation of corrective action.
- Must have the knowledge, experience, and ability to fully comprehend the various precast / prestressed shop drawings.
- Must demonstrate experience in leadership, problem-solving, creativity, strategic thinking, fostering cooperation and teamwork.
- A degree in Engineering or related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- 8 years of experience in the Quality Control sector is desired with 3 of those years in the capacity as a Quality Control Manager.
- DOT, ACI and OSHA 30 Certifications is preferred.
- PCI Level III Certification is required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Must have precast / prestressed concrete experience.
- Must be skilled in using a computer. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Office 365, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word is required,
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving heavy machinery and equipment.
