Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of on-site construction, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications
- Ensure work in place is of quality and conforms to construction documents
- Manage and schedule subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries to meet project deadlines
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance
- Monitor and report on project progress, addressing challenges proactively
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve technical issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
- Develop and foster strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
- Track subcontracts and insurance prior to work on site
- Develop and maintain project schedules, provide weekly look aheads
- Generate pre-punch and punch lists, determine responsible subcontractor for each item and follow up with subcontractor(s) to ensure timely completion
- Champion relationships; build, strengthen and maintain relationships with clients, owners, architects and other project stakeholders
- 10 years of experience as a commercial Construction Superintendent
- Willingness to travel
- A strong understanding of construction means and methods
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage diverse teams effectively
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all project stakeholders
