Qualifications
- Qualified Physician Assistant (PA) or Board-Certified PMHNP
- Additional FNP certification is a plus but not required
- Active North Carolina professional license and DEA registration required at the time of submission
- At least 2 years of inpatient psychiatric experience preferred, but not required
- Substance use and dual-diagnosis experience required
- Must be ready to participate in the credentialing process if selected
- Strong communication, collaboration, and patient-centered care skills
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
- Manage and adjust medications as clinically appropriate
- Conduct regular patient rounds
- Provide care to individuals experiencing acute mental health and substance use crises
- Manage patients with co-occurring/dual-diagnosis conditions
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team
- Provide telephone and virtual availability as part of the scheduled rotation
- 7 days on / 7 days off
- Minimum of 4 days onsite during each seven-day rotation
- Remaining coverage includes telephone and virtual availability
- Schedule adjustments may be arranged by mutual agreement with the other provider, provided coverage requirements are maintained
- Full-time only; part-time candidates are not being considered
- Approximately 3-6 admissions per day
- Approximately 4-8 follow-up patients per day
- $130,000 annual base salary
- Salaried, exempt position

- Total compensation package is valued at approximately $165,000 annually
