Key Responsibilities
- Litigation & Trial Work: Represent plaintiffs in New York State courts; conduct depositions, argue motions, and lead trials.
- Case Strategy: Conduct comprehensive legal research to gather evidence and build winning strategies for personal injury claims.
- Legal Drafting: Prepare high-quality pleadings, bills of particulars, discovery responses, and appellate briefs.
- Client Advocacy: Provide compassionate and professional legal guidance to clients navigating the aftermath of an injury.
- Settlement Negotiation: Aggressively negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel to maximize client recovery.
- Case Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date files and collaborate with our medical paralegal team to ensure all medical evidence is documented.
- Bar Admission: Must be admitted to practice in New York State.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in personal injury litigation (NYS experience required).
- Research Mastery: High proficiency in LexisNexis or Westlaw.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills; ability to simplify complex legal/medical issues for a jury.
- Drive: The ability to work independently, manage a heavy caseload, and meet strict litigation deadlines.
- Experience with No-Fault and Workers' Compensation matters.
- Proven track record of successful verdicts or high-value settlements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Salary : $70,000 - $250,000
